Preparatory Work of Appliance World Expo - Shanghai 2014 Officially Launched
With the convening of Shanghai (First Stop) Exhibitor Exchange Meeting and after more than two months initial preparation, Preparatory work of Appliance World Expo (or AWE2014) - Shanghai 2014 officially launched. It is known that AWE2013 is confirmed to be held from March 18th to 21st, 2014 at Hall E4-E7 of Shanghai New International Expo Center.
On July 19th, representatives from more than 80 enterprises, namely Panasonic, Hitachi, Electrolux, AO Smith, Sharp, Daikin, Daewoo, Vorwerk, Blueair, 3M, CADO, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu General, Honeywell, Emerson, Toray, Karcher, Moka, Noritz, Rinnai, Luma, Lake, Povos, and more than 100 representatives from US Embassy in Shanghai and Shanghai Household Appliance Association attended the exhibitor meeting for Shanghai region.
New Journey: Strike World-class Household Electric Appliance Exhibitions
Through the success based on accumulated strength in 2013, AWE has incontrovertibly become the largest comprehensive household electric appliance exhibition in China, attracting over 460 exhibitors and 60,000 audiences.
On this base, the display scale of AWE 2014 shall embrace leaping improvement with one new added exhibition hall and exhibition area increased to 60,000m2, increased by 25% year on year. Development on environment electric appliance, daily electric appliance and commercial electric appliance is enlarged.
Mr. Zhu Jun, deputy secretary general of the CHEAA introduced on the exchange seminar that with the expanding of scale and influence of AWE, the association, as host, shall have confidence in developing it to a world class household electric appliance exhibition.
In the seminar, attending enterprise representatives over the years gave high praise to AWE, regarding it as an important platform for household appliance enterprises to provide face-to-face exchange and get rapid and comprehensive information.
Representative from Panasonic said that Panasonic had been attending the exhibition since 2010. Exhibits had spread from traditional household appliances, namely refrigerators, washing machines and air conditioners to kitchen electric appliance products. In AWE2013, it participated with personal care products for the first time and practically felt the increasing attention of AWE in the industry and the market. Its connection with media and display to particular channel and consumers achieved favorable effects.
Mr. Tao Feng, Project Manager of German Karcher’s household and gardening department, commented that all AWE presented is the most up-to-date technology in household electric appliance and the exhibition is giving more and more attention to livelihood products concerning water, air and cleaning. AWE is not only the trendsetter of the industry but also a program for public good.
New Highlight: Environment and Healthcare Household Electric Appliance Exhibition
According to the host, AWE 2014 shall explore the potential of environment and healthcare household electric appliance and for the first time, open up an area of 5,000m2 to exhibit environment and healthcare household electric appliance, striking as the fourth exhibition halls together with high-end appliance, consumer electronics and kitchen and bath appliance.
From the application status from exhibitor exchange seminar in Shanghai, enterprises of environment and healthcare household electric appliance is more active for participation. Air purification and cleaning electric appliance brands like Vorwerk, Blueair, CADO, Sharp, Toray, Karcher, Moka, Noritz, Rinnai, Luma, Lake and Guosheng, water purification electric appliance like 3M, AO Smith, Honeywell, Emerson, Lancent, Selecto, all showed marvelous interest in participating AWE2014 and put forward many expectations to the exhibition next year.
Peng Xingxing, Marketing Director of Moka Electric Appliance, and Wu Yueyue, Distribution Department of Vorwerk, both participated in AWE2013, said that as new foreign enterprises to China market, they hope to have more resources for brand promotion and media connection through the exhibition platform. They also hope to make full and best of the distributors and dealers resources offered in the exhibition.
Mr. Li Junwei, Greater China CEO of Zanussi Ericson from Italy, hoped that the host can strengthen the support for environment electric appliance in the Appliance Award product appraisal, including more media publicity for relevant products.
